Q. Is this another one of those blogs where someone tells me how to make money online? Yawn!
A. Er…kinda – but wait! This is more about me giving you some weapons – so you can get out there and fight your own battles in the Search Engines. I do know some stuff and it’s pretty good. I’m generally not that boring & I do put the info out there in the clearest possible way that I can. I steer clear of technical jargon and I actually answer questions too!
So, it’s not a ‘How to Make Money’ blog – it’s more of a ‘How You Can Make More Money by Using the Best Tools and Strategies’ – although there’s also lots of good stuff for business start ups and folks looking for a bit of inspiration.
Q. So What Do You do Then?
A. Well, you know how difficult it can be to get going on that new online business? Or to get some decent, targeted traffic to an existing business?
Hmmm
Well I make the whole process a lot simpler by creating easy to understand courses, which enable folks to drive their businesses forward without having to spend unecessary hours (or money) researching, stressing and worrying. Over on my training site, we teach you how to do your own SEO so you don’t spend £1,000′s on paying someone to do it for you (badly), How to use Social Media in your online weaponry and lots of tips n tutorials on this blog will give you plenty to get your teeth into.
Q. Sounds alright, but what about this blog?
A. Well, this is where I get to release some of the material to you guys for free. Plus, as a single, Work At Home Mum – I know the kinda hurdles that you, as an entrepreneurial mum (or dad) may face. You don’t want to be preached to, you don’t want any more confusion – you’d just like some simple answers!
Q. What qualifies you to teach me anything?
A. That’s a decision you’d have to make for yourself, but I started working online about 6 years ago over at eBay. I was a powerseller on there for a year or more and made a tidy income. I decided to go from there into eCommerce and I opened my first online store. I straight away realized there was far more to it than that and I set about learning everything needed to run a good store from Products, Images and Usability to Search Engine Optimization, Keyword Reserach, Marketing and Link Strategies.
I then opened Web Mums WAHM Community and it soon became clear to me that many other women, working from home around their families, wanted this information too. And I also discovered along the way the thrill of setting up stores and helping others with theirs was far more exhilarating for me, than running the actual store itself.
So over the past few years I have had a vast education in optimizing websites and stores for the Search Engines so that I can help others achieve success. I’ve been on the cutting edge of Social Media as it has unfolded and I have helped many people and companies utilise it into their business plans.
I now spend most of my time between here and the new WEB MUMS TRAINING site. I also have another couple of businesses, one for local Sussex businesses where I will be holding local workshops in the near future.
